Marmaris ist eine Stadt in der Türkei, an der Mittelmeerküste in der Provinz Muğla. Marmaris ist bekannt für sein reiches kulturelles Erbe, die alte Altstadt, die herrliche natürliche Umgebung, mehrere moderne Marinas, viele Buchten entlang seiner Küste und einen natürlichen Hafen, der von mit Kiefern bewachsenen Hügeln umgeben ist. Die Burg bietet von ihren Wällen aus herrliche Ausblicke und ist einen Besuch wert. Die Küste ist ideal für Wassersport, Segeln, Sonnenbaden oder Spaziergänge entlang der von Palmen gesäumten Promenade. Marmaris ist ein stilvoller und kosmopolitischer Ferienort mit zahlreichen Nachtlokalen und Restaurants. Es ist eines der größten Touristenresorts der Türkei, hat aber viel von seinem Charme bewahrt. Die Hügel, die ins Meer laufen, und die wunderschönen Buchten machen Marmaris sehr besonders.
